Yum! Looks just like the shakshuka we eat in Israel. I love that so many cultural concoctions share their roots.

Enjoy your lovely looking meal.

Yum Katie! It looks also like my Mulligan Stew! I heart the simplicity of the dish and the earthy comfort feeling it gives in the tummy!!!

Hi!

I plan to use some of your recipes this week, especially the salads and vegetable dishes. Everything sounds good. I have been better about food shopping a little more frequently since we have some nice fod shops in the area I work in now...

I can't wait to see the procuitto, pepper, and fennel risotto. I was just thinking yesterday that I was in the mood for a risotto.

Wow, Katie, I do menu for the week as well, then I do most of the shopping online, and then go to the market to get fresh herbs, veggies and meat. This way you saving time and money, not buying things you don't need. Your menu sounds great!! If I wasn't already doing it myself I would subscribe to your menu in email! Such a great idea for people that have no time!

Thanks Linsey, I think it's amazing how the same foods kkep turning up in slightly different ways!

Thanks, blue zebra, it is a warming dish!

I hope you like them, Betty. Nice to have good shops handy!

Pam, so was I! It's the cool nights making me want fall comfort food!

Thanks C & V, I've been doing menus for years! It's the only thing that kept me sane when I was in the 'heels and hose' brigade.

OK, I just made one of the dishes from your menus...the zucchini and tomato gratin -- it was excellent! So simple, yet the thin slices and the bread crumbs made it taste different from anything else I've ever made.

I bought some hand-made "merguez" from the butcher's to go with it and it made for a great, simple meal.

BTW, I also wanted to mention that your blog is VERY slow to load on my computer. I don't know why -- I don't have that problem with any other blogs, even quite elaborate ones. Just thought I'd let you know...BC

Thanks Betty, glad you liked it!
You're the second person who'e told me that...apparentlly I have fixed the problem yet. I'll work on it again this weekend!
Thanks!
